Can anyone recommend any study material besides the official SANS books for the GCIH?
I currently have CounterHack by Skoudis, Incident Response by Schultz, Incident Response by Prosise, and The CERT guide by Allen. I am hoping that those books provide enough information for me to successfully pass the exam without shelling out $3k+ for the official SANS books.

Good day 3CO,
The books you have mentioned are all great books.
However, the best guide remains the official books from SANS. The question authors are using the student books to create their questions and all of the exam questions are within the study book.
I am sure there are people on this forum who have done their GCIH in the past and they could share with us.
I also wanted to let you know that I have received your email and I will add forums for the GCIH as you requested.
I am sure if the community gets involve we can come up with concise study crams that can help you achieve your goals.
